Oasis Overflow

Did you know that UEA break was originally started for Hunting Season? Well I hardly doubt that very many of us Parkites spent the weekend with a gun and orange clothing, and that's exactly what this post is all about!

Okay, so that didn't really make sense. No, I will not spend all five hundred words on Park Cities lack of hunters, but I will be talking about having an awesome Vacation! No matter who you are and what you do you usually are looking forward to that day off. The trouble is, if you don't spend those precious moments wisely you could very well be left feeling a bit lack luster. So it's time to play SPEND THAT DAY THE RIGHT WAY! What ever you pick, you better believe that that oasis will reflect upon who you are!

Happiest Place on Earth
Now that I've gotten you all thinking about Disney Land and/or Disney World, I would like to point out that these are definitely two of the biggest vaca spots in the world, and with good reason. Going to Disney is a great way to get away from everyday life and have a mini adventure, the possibilities there are positively to Infinity and Beyond.

Second Grade me Enjoying the Parade!
I will admit, Disney is certainly not for everyone. If you're looking for a way to wind down before you have to get back to everyday life, this may not be the best option. Also if crowds are not your thing, I would not recommend this (especially if you're going over a popular school break.) Now, if you just aren't as much or a little kid at heart you could always go to a different theme park for more extreme rides and less princess costumes.

Caribbean Cruisin'
Ah yes, the cruise. The elegant decor, open waters, grommet cuisine, endless beaches. WOW, I'm getting pampered just thinking about it! If you can afford the luxury of a cruise ship, they sure seem to provide something for everyone. They are great places to relax and/or get in touch with your wild side during shore excursions! From rock climbing to Ice skating it seems like the ships themselves have everything imaginable.

Just a Bar Made Completely of Ice on A Ship...
However, if you get sea sick at all, you would probably be better off staying on one of the islands. I definitely believe that a cruise actually isn't perfect, shocking right! Personally, I think that staying in one place and being able to explore the area is really nice too, which you don't get when you're in a different place everyday! I actually prefer just staying on one island.

I bet I could tell you a million different things to do right here in Park City that you've never tried! I would just need a few years to think about it... Seriously though, there are tons of activities that you haven't experienced right around you. Liza just did an entire post on why staying home is totally rad, so check it out ya'll!

Shoutout to Me for Being an Adorable Child
If you love skiing, as many people do around these parts, stay-cations are a great time to hit the slopes from opening to closing! Plus you can go out of town every break, so make sure you have fun while at home.

What ever your vaca fill is, just have fun doing it! See you next vacation, whether it be on a roller-coaster, sandy beach, or the seemingly ice cream covered slopes!

Not-before-noon-itis: We can Find a Cure

This post is all about sugar, spice, and daybreak advice!

Who doesn't love mornings? The birds chirping with delight, as you gracefully roll out of bed with smoothed hair and a clear complexion. After your long shower, you make your way down stairs surrounded by calming morning music where you meditate. Then your personal driver leads you outside into the beautiful sunny day around noon, and you take the scenic route to school.

Not exactly like your mornings? Weird.

Actual picture taken on my drive to school
Nevertheless, each morning doesn't have to be as painful as you think. Please silence your personal electronic devises, return your seat to the upright and locked position, lower your tray tables, and make sure to review the safety card in the seat pocket in front of you. Other than that, sit back, relax, and try not to fall asleep because you woke up at six this morning.

1. Alarm. When you see that word do you think: snooze, just five more minutes, or shut up? If so, you probably suffer from notbeforenoonitis | nät-biˈfôr-no͞on-ˈʌɪtɪs | (I totally made that up. Shhh, don't tell.) If you suffer from this fatal condition, as many do, never fear there is a cure!

The easiest things you can do is make sure your Alarm Clock is out of arms reach when sitting on your bed. Depending on how stubborn you are about sleep, it might be helpful to have a family member hide the clock in your room, so you are literally forced to go on a mad search it before it stops beeping. At that point the bitter frustration and ringing in your ear should have woken you up.

2. Coffee! This one's a bit debatable. It kinda depends on how your body reacts to caffeine early in the morning and whether or not you personally need that energy surplus. Personally, coffee makes me feel like a phone on vibrate, yet somehow I'm still tired... However I know this is a crucial ingredient to a good morning for lots of my friends. (Sense they're my only readers I thought I should include it.)

For those of us that can't drink coffee, or maybe just don't like the taste, try a smoothie or juice. I like to make a smoothie before school because it's a delicious way to get nutrients, and the natural energy is more effective for me. These can make and entire breakfast, especially if you add yogurt for dairy and protein powder.

3. Music. Ya, that weird music thing I mentioned earlier. It actually works. Its scientifically proven that listening to music can improve one's attitude, (I made that up too), so I suggest making a playlist of your favorite uplifting music that you can listen to before your first class. Personally I usually listen to Birdy and it really does help me get through those fatal morning hours.

Morning can be awful but if you merely 'pretend' they aren't, they might not be so bad.

Briefing you on Braids and Bows

Straight, curled, or slightly waved
It seems to never just behave
Up, down
Loose or tight
I'll teach you how to get it right

Hopefully you enjoyed that superb piece of poetry written by yours truly! It was inspired by my latest obsession...wait for it... hair! I have found that the way a person arranges their hair is also a huge clue into who they are. Naturally, I had to post about it because this is exactly the type of thing I want to share on Bellezza! My goal is to show you some fierbulous (fierce and fabulous) hair options for everyday, and not so everyday, occasions.

Lusciously long
Mia Taylor's hair that makes me self-conscious

The title kind of explains this look. Luscious, and so on. Now if your hair just isn't as giftedly long as Mia's, then you can always use a flat iron and your favorite no frizz product to still get a straight smooth effect and add some length. The trouble is that it can get a bit boring after awhile, so spicing it up with a side braid and/or hair accessory will add an extra touch of personality.

Dyed, Dynamic, and Dramatic
Milly Routledge of my Creative Writing class
Okay. Okay. I know that this looks really similar to the last look, but bear with me. Dying your hair, although it's kinda #totscrazy it's also, like, #totseffective. (Did you like that sassy slang? Ya I'm hip.) Seriously though, dying your hair can totally help you switch it up, so take that freedom to be and look how you want.

WARNING: If you don't want to make a huge splash by showing up to school looking like you hired someone else to take your place, I recommend changing the color slightly over time with multiple hair appointments. However, if your goal IS to make an impression, I say grab some bleach and lets do this thing!

(Alexa would like you to please note that she does not in any way support ruining your hair with bleach, and would not actually like you to do so.)

Up, Up and Away for Any Day
Kali Peirce's personality fitting Princess style braid

I'm sure you'd figure this out fairly fast, and also probably don't care but... I LOVE BRAIDS! I have definitely saved what I think are the best for last!

The picture to the right is a #perf example of showing who you are. Kali is possibly the sweetest and most caring person I know, so this adorable Disney Princess like half-up-half-down braid fits her perfectly! I encourage y'all to figure out a hairstyle that is to you like this princessy style is to Kali.

A Not so Everyday Up-Do
Morgan Yokubison's spruced up ballet bun!
I don't understand this hair style. All I know is if you are capable of creating such beauty, you deserve a serious award. Congrats, Morgan.

But seriously, this is such an amazing way to express yourself. Plus it's a stylish way to keep your hair out of your face. So if you want to attempt something like this, I say why not? Although if I were you, I'd have some detangle spray on hand.

...and this is the top...

(Morgan please report to the front office immediately to pick up your Nobel Prize, thank you.)

As you can tell, there are a wide arrange of different hair styles that are all options for an everyday look. I hope this wasn't as redundant and useless as I know it was. But nevertheless the only way to tell if I improve at this whole blogging thing, is to follow Bellezza!

Why yes, I did just tell you to follow my blog in a horribly cheesy way.

XOXO still not gossip girl...
